I utilize my natural born skills and abilities in the help and healing of others. The following is basic information about Gypsy culture and heritage. After reading the article, follow the links below to learn more about parapsychology and the paranormal. Gypsies have come a long way from the colorful horse drawn vardos (wagons) that were used for travel. Gypsies traveling in groups are called kumpania. Meaning a group of close friends or family members. When gypsies form a kumpania they refer to it as "going on tour". When gypsy's leave to travel the term most often used is "Baxt - see you next year!" (good luck). Gypsies are highly social within their own culture. They often arrange meeting with other families or friends on a yearly basis, that are called pakives. Growing up on the road allows gypsies a good practical education. In the past, formal education was lacking. With increased technology and communication, Gypsies understand the importance of educating their children. Gypsies are intuned with the paranormal and the use of parapsychology. It is believed that the culture of gypsy originated in India. Gypsies have always been a persecuted group and were forced into exile from every country in which they settled. In the United States, laws still remain that discriminate against Gypsies. This may account for the heightened intuitive sensitivity many Gypsies experience. On a cellular knowledge level, intuition often saves the day for the Gypsy and his or her family. Gypsy is a culture encompassing all nationalities and races. Therefore Gypsies do not have a distinctive physical feature, their uniqueness lies in the realm of the paranormal and parapsychology. Not all Gypsy's believe strong in the existence of Vampires, Mages, Werewolves, Mummies, etc. However, they do not negate the possibility of their existence. Many, like myself, practice palmistry, tarot card reading, tea leaf reading, aura reading and a variety of other arts. Gypsies may not belong to or follow an organized religious system. However, they have deep, strong spiritual values and beliefs. Gypsies refer to themselves as Romani, or Rom, and view each other as a large extended family. The great maternal grandmother is referred to as Daenna, the one mother of all Gypsies. Gypsies view possessions and wealth as transient things. Money, currency and coin are only worth what someone else is willing to trade from them. When will they realize that true freedom, is the greatest treasure ... and one that cannot be bought. Gypsies have a family structure which is ruled by a King or Queen of that family. There are five well known families who have kept their connection to their heritage wuzho, or pure. A little about real and mythical family structure: Lupines are the oldest of families, coming from Daenna and her brother Sarrath. Lupines consider themselves twice as powerful being doubly related to Daenna. All members of this family are kinfolk, and some are Garou of the Silent Strider tribe. They usually prefer to travel as a circus or entertainment groups. Phuri Dae are the mystics and seers. Their abilities to "see" the future combined with their gypsy instincts allows them a unique perspective on situations. They are also well renown makers of draba, mystical talismans usable only by other Gypsies. Ravnos is the family that has some members of the "cold dead", or vampires. Vampires are referred to as shilmulo. Ravnos who care believe Daenna married and loved a vampire and started the Ravnos family. Tsurara are a new family known as the Knife Tribe. Urmen is a family related to the fey. Banjara were one of the five families for six centuries. They are mostly in India. Tinkers are the most renown drabarine. They are wonderful at working with any kind of machinery or electrical devices, and many of the young travel the internet as their grandparents once traveled the roads. Every culture has it's version of how the world will end. Gypsies call theirs the Convergence. It is not viewed with the apprehension and fear as other cultures see it, it is believed to be the birth of a new world. The five Seeds of Knowledge from Daenna, will unite and grow into a tree that will link body and spirit together once again. In American culture the Gypsy is often equated with the Shaman. A shaman believes that all elements have their source of power in the spirit world and can be contacted at any time they are needed. The specialties of a shaman are healing and prophesying. This is often accomplished by going on a shamanic journey, a method of communicating with your spirit self for the purposes of gaining self knowledge or the knowledge needed to assist others. Native Americans refer to this as a homolachee (home - o - lech -che). During this event, the spirit self is in direct connection with all other spirit forms. The Shaman can move back and forth between the spirit and physical world at will. To arrive at a state of altered consciousness, the Shaman will often sit by a fire rhythmically beating on a drum. This is not always popular with the neighbors. A mind machine can induce the same state of altered consciousness, visions and heightened intuitive knowledge and awareness. Living in Tucson, Arizona, I have the good fortune of participating in sweat lodge and Sundance ceremonies in addition to the use of mind machines and Monroe Institute Hemi-Sync CDs and most of all my cultural and cellular heritage. Anyone who has a serious interest in the paranormal and parapsychology can benefit from the use of a mind machine, to aid in relaxation and transferring into a lucid dreaming state or meditative state. Mind machines also aid in enhanced concentration that may be needed when doing readings, remote viewing or healings.
