The study of ESP in animals is called anpsi
meaning animal psi.
The ancient Egyptians worshiped certain animals as gods. Some cultures described animals as Gods that are part human and part animal. Animals have abilities that humans lack. Social insects like ants use telecommunication that researches are unable to understand. Birds can fly thousands of miles a year from winter feeding to breeding grounds only to return to the exact feeding ground again. Most people who have pets will agree that their pets can and do communicate with them. It is not that the pet is obeying them it is that the pet is telling them things. There are many accounts of animals warning of danger or directing rescuers to precise locations. Some researchers claim that because animals have heightened senses of smell, sound and sight that the animal has natural abilities that humans do not. Others claim that animals have a distinct form of communication, use telepathic communication with humans and can predict events likes storms and earthquakes. An animal separated from a person to whom it is attached follows the person to an unfamiliar area is referred to as Psi trialing. Animals may react to the approaching death of a master, or may have premonitions of their own death. These events are called Death reactions. Danger to people or to the animal itself from a natural disaster may prompt unusual behavior that can be interpreted as a Reaction to Impending Danger Response. Many animals and insects have an instinct that guides them back to their original home. This is simply called Homing. Animals often show that they are responding to an owner's unspoken wishes. This is seen as a probably case of Telepathy. Scientist may speculate but pet owners know that their pets can and do communicate with them on a variety of topics in general and specific situations. Many animals have a physical resemblance to their owners. Much like a couple that has been married for many years. This resemblance also takes on emotional characteristics like joy and sorrow. A True Story After my mom died my dad came to live with us. He was terminally ill. We were supported by Hospice. In a conversation I asked the Hospice nurse when my dad would die. She suggested I watch the dog. The dog would "know". At that time the dog was a puppy with a very difficult German Shepard personality. The nigh of my father's death the dog was uncontrollable. Suddenly she laid down about 10 feet from his hospital bed, perked her ears and stared at him. I was seated on a sofa next to a Hospice Nurse. Suddenly the dog jumped up, ran to the hospital bed and began crying. I asked the nurse if my dad had died. The nurse checked him and he had transitioned to another realm. After his death the dog would sit in his room and whine and cry, looking very depressed and despondent. For a while, she stopped eating, and developed a mournful whine. My dad came to live with us in August and died the following February. He was with us six months. On the date of my mother's birth day we went to the animal shelter to get him a puppy. We walked into the shelter and he immediately saw a dog at the far end. There were many animals in the shelter at that time. I worked to convenience him that a small dog would be a better pet for him. He graciously looked at all the smaller dogs and then insisted upon the Shepard. I tried explaining that the dog would grow large and that I was concerned that she would knock him down or bump into his wheelchair. He looked at me very calmly and with conviction and said "I WANT THAT DOG". When I asked why, he told me "It is your mother reincarnated". My dad had never mentioned reincarnation before that time. He had never expressed any interest in parapsychology. Since then my dad has passed away. The day we got the dog was my mother's birthday. After we adopted the dog we learned that is was also the day that the dog was scheduled for euthanasia. For whatever reason the dog appears to equate lucid dreaming with death. Any time I am lucid dreaming the dog will bark at me, hit me with her paw, throw her toys at me and wake me up. She goes from a scared frantic expression to a more clam relaxed expression. I still have the dog.
